'Jupiter' - 30"w x 40"h
Astronomy and the planets have always fascinated me. The sheer size and massive scale of even just our solar system can boggle the mind.
'Jupiter' is a tribute to the biggest, baddest planet within our little corner of the universe, and it brings to life the vivid color and intense pressure that it contains.
A dripping technique was used on the background to give a feeling of spinning movement, with deep reds, bright oranges and blues accentuating the painting. The foreground was splattering with a baby blue to contrast as well as tie together the different layers. It mimics the electrical storms ever present in Jupiter's atmosphere.
A one-of-a-kind piece of art.
